The Getting Ready for Work project is supporting a group of people with a mild learning disability to ‘get ready for work.’
There a two Thursday morning group sessions provided each month at SCIPs in Oldbury, which include developing social skills, financial capability and IT skills.
The project is funded by ESF and SFA, and runs from April to the end of September 2017.
The project will also provide the participants with one-to-one support outside of the sessions to help resolve other personal problems they have that are a barrier to gaining employment, including personal, health and housing related issues.
