Half day online autism training

Building Bridges can offer a half day online training on Autism delivered by two Autistic trainers from Building Bridges, for groups up to 15 people.

- Lived experience of autistic people
- Stereotypes and myths
- Friends and relationships
- Sensory overload
- Special interests
- Your rights
- Labels (neuro typical/ diverse)
- Reasonable adjustments
- Key legislation and strategy; The Autism Act 2009
- Communication
- Responding to stress, anxiety and meltdowns
Building Bridges Training are offering to produce one piece of easy read information by the end of March 2025. We are looking for ideas from groups, or individuals with a learning disability.
Building Bridges are working on a project about ‘reasonable adjustments’; and the small things mainstream services can do to make a big difference to people with a learning disability.
We are still working on these easy read documents, and they should be available soon. We are working closely with climate change activists to ensure our information is correct.
