Who we are
Building Bridges Training CIC provides free easy read resources to help people with a learning disability access information they can understand.
We respect your privacy and protect your personal information in line with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018.
What information do we collect?
When you register to download our resources, we may collect your name, email address, organisation and information you choose to give us about how you use our resources.

Understand who uses our resources and how they are shared.
Find out how useful our resources are and how we can improve them.
Contact you about your registration if needed.
We rely on our legitimate interests in providing and improving our resources. We consider these interests alongside your privacy rights.
Who handles your information?
Our website is hosted by Squarespace, which helps us run the website and registration system.
We use Stripe to process payments where applicable. If you make a payment through Stripe, it will handle the information needed to process that payment under its own privacy policy.
These providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, appropriate safeguards must be in place.
How do we keep your information safe?
We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure. We do not sell your personal information.
We only keep your information for as long as we need it and delete it securely when it is no longer required.
Will we send you marketing emails?
We will not add you to a marketing mailing list unless you have separately agreed to receive those emails.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it where the law allows. You may also have the right to object to or restrict how we use it.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we handle your information: ico.org.uk.
