Resources library including easy read information

We have developed a wide range of easy read information and resources, mainly for people with learning disabilities, as well as some designed for the staff who support them.
These resources aim to help people with learning disabilities live safer, more independent, and included lives. Many ideas and topics come directly from the members of Building Bridges who have a learning disability.

How to use easy read information with people with a learning disability

Easy read works best when someone talks it through with the person using it. Please do not simply hand over a document without support.

Why we ask for a contribution

Building Bridges is not funded to produce or distribute our easy read information or resource library. Your contributions help us:

  • Manage and maintain the resource service

  • Co-produce new easy read materials

  • Continue involving people with learning disabilities in developing resources

If you cannot contribute—e.g., you are an unfunded volunteer-led group—please email us to explain. We do not want cost to be a barrier.
