We offer training that helps people communicate better and make services more welcoming for everyone, and our sessions are available over August and September 2026.
Easy Read Training (in Birmingham City Centre)
Easy Read helps people understand information, by using simple words, short sentences and clear pictures. Many people with learning disabilities find Easy Read helpful.
Our Easy Read Training will help you learn how to:
Write in plain English.
Use short, clear sentences.
Choose the right pictures.
Make information easier to read.
Avoid common mistakes.
Create your own Easy Read letters, information and instructions.

Autism Awareness Training (Online)
Our Autism Awareness Training helps people understand autism and think about how they can make small changes that make a big difference.
During the training, you will learn about:
The lived experience of autistic people
Stereotypes and myths
Friends and relationships
Sensory overload
Special interests
Labels (neurotypical/diverse)
Reasonable adjustments
Communication
Responding to stress, anxiety nd meltdowns
Key legislation and strategy; The Autism Act 2009
The training includes practical ideas that you can use every day.
